You have options

Since the launch in 2011, Swinburne Online has focused on perfecting the art of online learning – not only in the way we present our online courses, but also in the range of disciplines we cover. Following trends and the needs of our students, we have expanded our offering to include a range of sought-after accredited online degrees in Australia. With a key focus on business programs, ranging from MBA to Business Majors in Marketing and Management, we also offer courses in Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, Media & Communications, Law and Information Technology. Our courses range from Undergraduate to Postgraduate degrees to ensure you can get a quality education that you can be proud of, no matter where you are in your study journey.

One of the most frequently asked questions our future students ask is, Will I get the same qualifications online as studying on campus? And the answer is a proud, Yes! Our online courses follow the same structure as on-campus courses, and are accredited by leading associations like the Association to Advanced Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Victoria Institute of Teaching (VIT), Victorian Legal Admissions Board (VLAB) and Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) Australia.

Our range of options also extends to our scholarships and HELP loans as we believe education should be open to all who have a desire to study. We also believe in fast-tracking your path to success through Advanced Standing which is measured by Academic Credit (credits granted based on previous study) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

“This degree at Swinburne Online has had a massive impact on my life. It means I can do anything I want. It has unlocked my potential.” – Chelsea, Bachelor of Business (Management)

You gain experience on the ground

Along with offering a range of courses in various, accredited disciplines, one of the advantages of studying with Swinburne Online is that our students gain industry experience to ensure a well-rounded education. A number of our courses include professional placement units where our students gain practical experience on the job. Through this work-integrated learning approach, our students get to work on real-world projects with leading industry experts.

Our professional placements provide you with the unique opportunity to integrate yourself into your new selected career and work with those already in the industry. During this time you can see what the average day looks like, ask your new colleagues important questions, gain experience, and implement all that you have learned so far with the guidance of your course tutors. These professional placements are also a great time to build valuable industry connections and network, and potentially solidify a job opportunity after graduation.

“Swinburne Online has made it possible for me to make this transition into teaching.” – Kathryn,  Master of Teaching (Secondary)

Supported all the way

Our main aim, besides providing students with a comprehensive education, is making sure our students are supported. Our Online Tutors, also known as Online Learning Advisors (OLAs), are dedicated tutors that will guide you through your classes, and hold a wealth of knowledge as experts in their field and years of real-world experience. For any help with things like course management, essay writing tips and even technical support, our Student Advisors are available 7 days a week to assist you on your study journey

We also have dedicated Student Coaches and Mentors, who have valuable insights into the unique experience that is online study, and are here to help you fit your studies around your life. They are there to support you and provide expert advice on motivation, time and stress management, and navigating your courses and assignments.

Last but not least, there are also Learning Groups available for each of your units. In these groups, you will join 25 – 30 of your classmates to review and discuss the units that you are studying.
